It is somewhat heart shaped and has a smocked satin back with zippered compartment built into it. The centre panel is made of silver tipped fox while the rest is mostly brown toned. One would simply place ones hands into the open cavity in the middle of the muff to keep warm. When not using it as a hand warmer, you would carry it on your wrist using the built on strap. It
