Barn Owl is a series of one-off creations that are released sporadically throughout the year

Saison brewed with Spelt and Triticale then bottle conditioned with a blend of brettanomyces

or wonton soup

with hints of white wine and pineapple

We then aged then blend in oak barrels for about a year

Erik the Red Type_Barleywine - Other Barn Owl is a seriesSchramms Erik the Red was named for Erik Thorvaldsson, a classic Norseman, who sailed around the North Atlantic like it was a wading pool. Erik the Red is one of Ken Schramms signature meads, a member of his original line up. This bold blend of red raspberries and tart cherries has been refined and improved upon over decades of batches.
