Veldenzer村的Sonnenberg葡萄園面朝西方的斜坡，種植大量珍貴的老藤，Alte Reben 正是老藤的意思，在摩塞爾地區更常包括葡萄藤是未經過嫁接的含意。
這款村莊級酒款的平均樹齡約為45歲。主要的葡萄都是採收自一級園Climat du Val (朝南向，石塊比例高的泥灰岩土壤)降級，再混合其他小部分的村莊級所釀造。10%~20%比例新桶。香氣奔放，帶有新鮮的黑色漿果，牡丹花，口感豐富充滿活力。
使用單一年份採收的葡萄，利用放血法細緻的萃取出香氣與顏色。放血法(Saignée)，是指透過浸皮將黑皮諾的果皮與榨好的果汁接觸，依時間長短萃取出不同程度的紅色。明亮的寶石紅色，帶有令人愉悅的新鮮紅色水果、黑醋栗和李子派的香氣。濃郁的酒香與隱藏在餘味中的一絲甜味完美的融為一體。
